Questions
Frequently asked
Yes — when administered under proper medical supervision, ketamine infusion therapy has an excellent safety profile and decades of use in clinical settings. Our board-certified physicians conduct a thorough pre-treatment evaluation and monitor you closely throughout every session. Side effects are typically mild, short-lived, and resolve within the same visit.
Ketamine infusion therapy is not typically covered by insurance for psychiatric indications, as it remains off-label for conditions like depression. EMDR therapy may be billable through certain plans. We offer transparent, upfront pricing and are happy to discuss flexible payment options during your free consultation.
Most patients begin with a series of six ketamine infusions over two to three weeks — often called an induction series. Maintenance infusions may follow, spaced further apart. For EMDR, the number of sessions varies considerably depending on the nature and complexity of your history. We assess progress continuously and adjust accordingly.
EMDR involves recalling specific memories or sensations while following a therapist's bilateral stimulation — typically guided eye movements, tapping, or audio tones. Many patients describe the experience as surprisingly gentle. Difficult emotions often process quickly without requiring detailed verbal narration. Sessions run 60–90 minutes.
The first step is a free consultation — no commitment required. Use the contact form below or call us directly. A care coordinator will gather some basic information, answer your questions, and help determine whether Luminary Medical is the right fit for where you are right now.
